Salalah: UAE national team cyclist Jasim Al Ali Abdulla won the first stage of the 2025 Salalah International Cycling Tour, the fifth edition of which is being organised by Dhofar Municipality in partnership with the Oman Cycling Federation and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth as part of the Dhofar Khareef events.
Mathias Bregenhoj from the Malaysian Terengganu Cycling Team came in second, while Sarawut Sirironachai from the Thai national team came in third.
The race started from Ain Razat to Khor Rori in Dhofar Governorate, covering a total distance of (108) kilometres, with the participation of 90 local, regional and international professional cyclists.
At the end of the race, Khair Eddine Berbari, President of the Algerian Cycling Federation, honoured the winners. UAE national team rider Abdullah Jassim received the gold jersey for topping the overall standings, the green jersey for leading in points, and the white jersey for under-23s. Omani national team rider Mohammed Al Wahaibi received the gray jersey.
