Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs today held an extensive meeting with owners of licensed Hajj and Umrah companies in the Sultanate of Oman. The meeting reviewed the latest updates and initiatives for the upcoming Hajj season 1447 AH and discussed key observations and indicators from the previous season.
During the meeting, the Ministry presented important topics related to the organization of the Hajj season 1447 AH, including new updates and procedural mechanisms to ensure the successful performance of the Hajj pilgrimage.
The Ministry also implemented a "Hajj Lab" in cooperation with the "Takatuf" Foundation. The lab's goal is to improve the experience of Omani pilgrims by collecting and analyzing data from the Hajj season. It organized joint workshops to discuss challenges and new developments and prepared a final report with key improvement opportunities, recommendations, and a roadmap of priorities. This will contribute to developing the management and implementation mechanisms of the Hajj season and enhancing the quality of services provided to pilgrims.
It is worth noting that registration for the Hajj pilgrimage for the 1447 AH season will open on 23 September through the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs' electronic system.
