Musandam seeks to strengthen its position as a promising economic hub

Khasab: Musandam Governorate will host its First Strategic Forum on Tuesday. The event, organised by the Musandam Governor’s Office, will see wide participation from senior officials, decision-makers, experts, and researchers from across Oman.

The forum will serve as a high-level platform to discuss the governorate's future development trajectory and strengthen its position as a promising economic and tourism hub within the national development framework of Oman Vision 2040.

The forum aims to align local plans, particularly the Eleventh Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), with sustainable development priorities. This will be achieved by showcasing key government projects and investment opportunities, as well as presenting innovative visions and initiatives that will help chart a clear roadmap for development across various vital sectors.

The forum will be preceded by a series of preparatory workshops held across all the wilayats of the governorate. These workshops will involve representatives from government units, the private sector, entrepreneurs, and the local community. It is expected that these sessions will produce practical recommendations to be presented during the forum, reflecting the aspirations of the local community and informing the decision-making process.
