ROP arrests suspects in armed robbery, cable theft cases

Muscat: The Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations at the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested two individuals of African nationality on charges of armed robbery. The suspects allegedly stopped an Asian national, assaulted him, seized his mobile phone, and fled the scene. Legal procedures are underway against them.

In a separate case, the ROP Command in North Al Batinah Governorate arrested five Asian nationals accused of stealing electrical cables and wires from multiple sites across the wilayats of Sohar, Saham, and Suwaiq. Legal measures are being taken against the suspects.
