Muscat: Salim bin Mohammed Al-Rawahi, Rapporteur of Oman Sports Disputes and Arbitration Committee, participated in the Regional Sports Arbitration Seminar organized by the Olympic Council of Asia in the United Arab Emirates from October 11 to 12.
The seminar aimed to provide an in-depth introduction to sports arbitration, its core concepts, and procedures, in accordance with applicable international legal frameworks. It also reviewed leading and emerging cases in the field of sports arbitration, as well as the latest developments in international sports law.
Additionally, the seminar highlighted successful regional practices in sports arbitration, contributing to the enhancement of legal awareness and the development of professional competence among practitioners in the field at the regional level. The event also supported ongoing efforts to uphold the principles of justice and integrity within the sports system.
