HM receives Kuwait Emir at airport

Muscat:Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, arrived here this morning on a private visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik led the welcoming party for the Emir of Kuwait upon his arrival at the Royal Airport.

The Emir of Kuwait was also greeted by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals and Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Hajiri, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Sultanate of Oman.

Following inspection of the guard of honour guard formation from the Royal Guard of Oman, the official motorcade departed for Al Barakah Palace.

The Emir of Kuwait is accompanied during the visit by Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Minister of Defence; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Director General of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA); retired Lieutenant General Jamal Mohammed Al-Theyab, Director of the Amir’s Office, Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation(KPC), Sheikh Saud Salim Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) and Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Hajiri, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Sultanate of Oman.
