ROHM unveils December 2025 season of ballet, orchestral concerts, family festivities

Muscat: The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) unveiled a collection of artistic and cultural performances and events it has prepared for the current month of December as part of its ongoing season (2025-2026). Offering the audience a blend of ballet, orchestral music, and celebratory programs, these include: the ballet performance (Coppélia), an Omani Night featuring the melodies of Sayyid Khalid bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the acrobatic spectacle (Symphony of Lights), and a concert presented by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, alongside programs for children and families such as (The Magic of the Wings) and (Let's Read).

This coming Thursday, the ROHM will present "Omani Night," where the audience will spend an evening with the music and compositions Sayyid Khalid bin Hamad Al Busaidi. The finest pieces performed by the musicians of the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra alongside leading Omani artists will revive Oman's musical, vocal, and cultural heritage.

The performance "The Magic of the Wings" for children will be presented next Thursday. It is an opportunity to explore the world of theatre behind the scenes and discover the secrets of stagecraft, including lighting, sound, and costumes, guided by experts from the Royal Opera House Muscat. The (Let's Read) initiative for children—as part of a session of enjoyable storytelling that stimulates imagination about the world's most famous explorers—will be held on Saturday, 20 December 2025.

(Symphony of Lights) will present an acrobatic performance on the stage of the Royal Opera House Muscat on Thursday and Friday, 18 and 19 December 2025. Aerial displays will merge with modern lighting designs, visual effects, and gravity-defying movements in a captivating celebratory experience suitable for all ages.

The year will conclude on Wednesday, 31 December 2025, with a musical concert presented by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. Pianist Behzod Abduraimov and violinist Elli Choi will join the orchestra for an evening brimming with musical creativity. Furthermore, the exhibition (The Rhythm of Life), which opened on 19 November at the ROHM House of Musical Arts, continues its artistic displays, allowing visitors to acquaint themselves with Oman's ancient musical heritage, running until 7 February 2026.
