In Pictures: His Majesty the Sultan meets with the President and members of the State Council Bureau

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik met at Al Barakah Palace today with the Chairman of the State Council and the members of the State Council’s Office.

At the outset of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan commended the Council's efforts, contributions, and its collaboration with governmental institutions in advancing comprehensive national development, and in developing the country's developmental, economic and social aspects.

His Majesty affirmed that the responsibility for addressing national issues is a shared one among all state institutions and bodies, requiring their contribution to tackling challenges, developing public policies and backing the approaches of the state to realize the nation's interest and serve citizens.

His Majesty the Sultan also underlined the importance of establishing effective implementation mechanisms that allow for the conversion of proposals into practical steps. These steps would support resolving issues of importance to society and solidify the integration of state institutions' efforts, thereby ensuring sustainable development, safeguarding national gains and achievements and enhancing public confidence.

At the end of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan emphasized the importance of engaging with societal issues and existing challenges, disseminating appropriate and accurate messages regarding topics addressed in the media and circulated on social media platforms, in addition to highlighting the efforts made and the national-level achievements and gains realized, and elevating public awareness.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Sheikh Al Fadhl bin Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers and Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of the Legal Affairs.
