Two individuals arrested for trafficking narcotics across residential neighbourhoods in Muscat

Muscat: In a significant move to maintain public safety and combat the spread of illegal substances, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has dismantled a targeted drug trafficking operation within the Muscat Governorate and confirmed the arrest of two individuals of Arab nationality involved in a sophisticated scheme to distribute narcotics across several high-density residential areas.

The individuals were found in possession of substantial quantities of crystal meth, marijuana, and hashish, which were intended for both trafficking and personal use.

The operation revealed a calculated distribution method, with the suspects concealing the substances in 15 different locations across various residential neighborhoods in the Wilayats of Al-Seeb and Bausher. By utilizing these hidden drop points, the traffickers attempted to evade detection while operating within the community.

Authorities have confirmed that all seized materials have been processed, and formal legal proceedings against the two individuals are currently ongoing.
