
Muscat: Police Guard in Oman have carried out a series of security operations resulting in multiple arrests on drug trafficking, theft, and illegal entry charges, according to the Royal Oman Police.
In the Wilayat of Seeb, the Directorate for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances under Muscat Governorate Police arrested two Asian nationals found in possession of quantities of marijuana and crystal meth intended for trafficking and personal use. Legal procedures are currently underway.
In a separate operation in Al Musannah, South Al Batinah Governorate Police arrested another Asian national carrying large and varied quantities of narcotic substances, also intended for trafficking and consumption. Authorities confirmed that legal action is being pursued.
Meanwhile, North Al Batinah Governorate Police apprehended eight individuals accused of stealing large numbers of livestock from several locations in the Wilayats of Suwaiq and Sohar. Investigations are ongoing and legal measures are being taken against the suspects.
In Musandam Governorate, police arrested 13 Asian nationals for entering the country illegally through different locations. Authorities stated that legal procedures have been initiated against them.
Officials reiterated that security forces continue to intensify efforts to combat crime, protect property, and safeguard public safety across all governorates of the Sultanate.
