Muscat: The foreign ministries of the Sultanate of Oman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Turkiye, the Syrian Arab Republic, the State of Palestine, the State of Kuwait, and the Lebanese Republic, alongside the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the League of Arab States, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, have strongly condemned statements by the United States Ambassador to Israel suggesting acceptance of Israel’s control over Arab lands, including the occupied West Bank.
In a joint statement, the ministries expressed profound concern over what they described as dangerous and provocative remarks, stressing that such statements constitute a flagrant violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and pose a serious threat to regional security and stability.
The ministries underscored that the remarks contradict the vision put forward by U.S. President Donald Trump and the comprehensive plan aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza by containing escalation and creating a political horizon for a just and lasting settlement.
They said the vision is rooted in promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence, warning that legitimising control over the lands of others undermines these goals, fuels tensions, and incites further instability rather than advancing peace.
They reiterated that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories or any other occupied Arab lands,
firmly rejecting any attempts to annex the West Bank or separate it from the Gaza Strip. The ministries also voiced strong opposition to the expansion of settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories and rejected any threats to the sovereignty of Arab states.
The statement concluded with a warning that continued expansionist policies and illegal measures would only escalate violence and diminish prospects for peace. The ministries reaffirmed their steadfast commitment to the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to self-determination, the establishment of an independent state along the June 4, 1967 lines, and the end of occupation of all occupied Arab territories.
