Nearly one ton of food destroyed after illegal bakery raid in South Al Batinah

Muscat: The South Al Batinah Municipality has successfully dismantled an unauthorised food production operation in the Wilayat of Musannah.

In a coordinated effort with the Public Prosecution and the Royal Oman Police, the Musannah Municipality Department carried out a raid on a private residential house that was being used as an illegal bakery.

The site was found to be manufacturing samosas in bulk without the required commercial licenses or adherence to national health standards.

South Al Batinah Municipality said in a statement : "In coordination with the Public Prosecution and the Royal Oman Police, the Musannah Municipality Department conducted a raid on a residential house operating illegally as a samosa bakery under unsanitary conditions. (903) kg of food products were seized and destroyed, and the necessary legal measures were taken. "
