Muscat: The Foreign Ministry of Oman announced that a group of Omani citizens has safely arrived back in the Sultanate of Oman after arrangements were made to transfer them from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to the ministry, the evacuation was carried out in coordination with the Omani embassies in Tehran and Ankara, along with the relevant authorities in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The process involved organized land and air transportation arrangements to ensure the citizens’ safety and the smooth movement of the evacuation operation.

The ministry also confirmed that additional groups of Omani citizens arriving from countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council have safely reached Oman through land border crossings. These efforts come as part of the ministry’s round-the-clock coordination with relevant authorities and Omani embassies abroad to facilitate the gradual return of citizens and guarantee their security and wellbeing.

Officials stated that the repatriation process will continue as needed to ensure that all citizens wishing to return can do so safely.
