Muscat : By Royal Decree, His Highness Sayyid Dr. Kamil bin Fahd Al Said will patronise the closing ceremony of His Majesty the Sultan's Camel Racing Cup 2026 on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
By Royal Decree of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, His Highness Sayyid Dr. Kamil bin Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, will patronize the closing ceremony of His Majesty the Sultan's Camel Racing Cup 2026 tomorrow at the Royal Camel Corps racetrack in Al-Falij, Barka, organized by the Royal Court Affairs, represented by the Royal Camel Corps.
The final day of the festival will feature six races, including the fifth race, designated for camels aged one year (Hawl), in which the winner will be crowned with His Majesty the Sultan's Camel Racing Cup.
The races will be accompanied by a number of traditional Omani performances, in addition to camel riding demonstrations performed by members of the Royal Camel Corps.
The establishment of His Majesty the Sultan's Camel Racing Festival reflects the keen interest of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik in the importance of this heritage and its significant role in preserving the purebred Omani camel breeds.
