Official holiday announced for Prophet's Birthday

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will observe Thursday, August 27, 2026, as an official public holiday on the occasion of Prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary (PBUH) for the year 1448 AH, the Ministry of Labour has announced.

The ministry said the holiday date is based on the announcement issued on December 28, 2025, concerning the dates of national and religious holidays in Oman for 2026.
