Ramallah: Three Palestinians, including a child, were killed and others wounded on Saturday morning in Israeli drone strikes targeting different areas across the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that a Palestinian was killed when Israeli forces struck the Shuja'iyya neighbourhood, east of Gaza City.
In central Gaza, a girl succumbed to injuries sustained after being shot by Israeli forces north of Nuseirat refugee camp.
In the north, a young Palestinian man was killed and others injured in a drone strike west of Jabalia refugee camp, while another young man was seriously injured by Israeli army gunfire east of Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.
Israeli colonists open live ammunition at Palestinian homes
Meanwhile, Israeli colonists fired live ammunition on Saturday at Palestinian homes in the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, while occupation forces raided two homes in the village, detaining and interrogating members of one family.
Marzouq Abu Naim, a member of the Al-Mughayyir village council, told WAFA by phone that a group of colonists stormed the Sha'b al-Loz area of the village and opened live fire toward Palestinian homes. No injuries or confrontations were reported.
He added that occupation forces raided the home of Haj Abu Ata for the second time within hours, searched it, and occupied its rooftop before detaining and interrogating members of his family. The forces also raided and searched the home of Rasmi Abu Aliya.
Israeli colonists cut water line serving village
Meanwhile, Israeli colonists cut the water line supplying the village of Ad-Daqiqah in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, on Saturday, depriving around 700 Palestinians of water.
Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA that colonists, under the protection of Israeli forces, cut the water line supplying the village at its entrance along the main road, as part of their ongoing attacks on villages, hamlets, and Bedouin communities in Masafer Yatta and their residents.
He added that cutting the water line has deprived around 700 Palestinians of the water supply they rely on to meet their basic needs.
Israeli forces set up military checkpoint
Also on Saturday Israeli forces set up a military checkpoint beneath Jabara Bridge at the southern entrance to the city of Tulkarm.
Local sources told WAFA that Israeli soldiers stopped vehicles leaving the city, searched them, and obstructed traffic. Earlier today, Israeli forces completely closed the iron gates installed beneath the bridge. The closure lasted several hours before the gates were reopened.
The measures come amid tightened Israeli military restrictions at the entrances to Tulkarm and its towns, which have been subjected to an Israeli assault for the 601st consecutive day, restricting the movement of Palestinians and vehicles.
