Registration for Hajj 1448 AH to open soon in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs has announced the opening of registration for pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman, for citizens and residents wishing to perform the Hajj rites for the 1448 AH season, through the following electronic system (www.hajj.om), during the period from 28 September 2026 to 11 October 2026.

In a statement, the Ministry affirmed that Hajj companies are prohibited from interfering in the registration of those wishing to perform the Hajj rites, in order to ensure transparency and to allow eligible applicants the freedom to choose their Hajj company.

The Ministry indicated that it is mandatory for the eligible applicant to select a Hajj company through the system, with the financial obligations this entails. Such selection shall be deemed an acknowledgment of consent to contract with the Hajj company. The eligible applicant must pay the prescribed percentage electronically through the system. The contract concluded through the electronic system shall be binding on both parties before the competent authorities. The Ministry reserves the right to cancel the application should it be established that the eligible applicant has failed to make the financial payment within the prescribed periods.

The Ministry noted that no application submitted prior to this announcement, or submitted after the expiry of the specified period, or which does not include the required attachments stipulated, shall be considered.

The Ministry stated that the process of notifying eligible applicants and selecting a Hajj company for first-priority pilgrims will take place during the period from 21 October to 11 November 2026, and that the selection of a Hajj company for second-priority pilgrims will be from 16 to 22 November 2026.

It added that the selection of a Hajj company for third-priority pilgrims will take place during the period from 24 to 27 November 2026. The Hajj Conference and Exhibition will be held from 22 to 24 October 2026. The deadline for receiving cancellation requests is 27 February 2027, while the final date for air travel is 12 May 2027.
