UAE records new high of 51.6 degrees Celsius in May

Muscat: Temperatures in the UAE touched a sweltering 51.6 degrees Celsius at Sweihan in Al Ain on Saturday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology. This is a record for the country for this year so far.

Just a few days back, on 23rd May, another record high of 50.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in the UAE.
