Conference on Future of Logistics in Age of AI kicks off in Dhofar

Salalah: A two-day conference on "The Future of Logistics in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI)" began today at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah. The event is organized by the National Academy for Training and Development in collaboration with the Dhofar branch of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The conference program featured three papers. The first was titled "Modern Technologies in the Logistics Sector," the second focused on "Artificial Intelligence in the Logistics Sector," and the third discussed "Modern Services at the Salalah Free Zone."

Two panel discussions were also held, covering integrated work in the logistics sector and digital transformation in supply chains, with a focus on AI, digital systems, and logistics systems.

The second day of the program will include two workshops: "The Contribution of AI to Managerial Decision-Making in Supply Chains" and "Leading the Future: AI in the Service of Institutions."

The conference aims to highlight the role of AI in improving the efficiency of supply chains and transportation, promoting sustainability, and supporting Oman Vision 2040 through a vital sector for economic diversification. It also seeks to facilitate the exchange of expertise between the public and private sectors and explore areas for joint cooperation.
