Fankfurt: A number of visitors to the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at the Frankfurt International Book Fair 2025 expressed their admiration for the digital content, e-books, audiobooks and a children’s interface offered by the Ministry of Information’s Ayn platform.
Renée Servillo, a children’s literature writer from the United States, told Oman News Agency (ONA) that the Ayn platform contributes to reaching the largest possible audience in literary fields, especially among younger age groups who prefer visual and audio content over traditional publishing methods.
In a related context, the American writer praised the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in the Frankfurt International Exhibition, which she described as outstanding.
She expressed her admiration for the pavilion’s design, which combines ancient architectural elements with modern styles. She also expressed her amazement at the diversity of Omani cultural and literary production, adding that “everyone should visit the Sultanate of Oman and discover its various regions, which boast a distinctive social, cultural, and geographical diversity.”
Sand Hernadovic, an interactive game designer from the Federal Republic of Germany, expressed his admiration for the Ayn platform, noting its user-friendly interface, which is accessible to all audiences. He also noted that current trends in various fields are based on modern technologies and interactive platforms, which the Ayn platform contributes to through the diverse content it provides to users, serving the widespread dissemination of Omani books and content.
For her part, Nadia Yaqeen, a broadcaster for the German Channel 2 and an identity researcher, said that the Ayn platform is global and comprehensive, distinguished by its proximity to the recipient, especially the youth.
She emphasised that the platform contributes to efforts to preserve authentic cultural heritage, making it one of the most important platforms in the field of Arab and international media. Through the platform, she learned more about the components of the Sultanate of Oman’s history and various Omani cultural affairs.
Ruth Lindemann-Mueller, a Danish writer and cultural affairs enthusiast, explained that the Ayn platform highlights Omani cultural diversity through various visual and audio materials in a variety of fields. She looks forward to visiting the Sultanate of Oman, as she is fascinated by the rich Omani culture, which is built on several qualities, most notably “friendship” and “openness to others.”
Azza Al-Hinai, a translator for the Omani Studies Journal at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and a participant in the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion, emphasised that the Ayn platform highlights the government’s digital transformation efforts targeting diverse fields and various segments of society. The diversity of audiobooks and digital content contributes to the dissemination of Omani knowledge and intellectual output more broadly than traditional methods.
For her part, Intisar Al Maskari, an administrative affairs researcher at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and a participant in the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion, explained that the Ayn platform contains a wide range of content across various categories, facilitating its access to a wide audience both inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman.
She added that the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in the Frankfurt International Book Fair is a favorable opportunity to promote this platform and the books and electronic materials it contains, which will serve to build bridges of communication and cooperation with peoples of all walks of life.
It’s worth noting that the Ayn platform is an interactive digital platform launched by the Ministry of Information to promote Omani and Arab e-content and build bridges of communication with various segments of society via smart devices and tablets.
