Tehran:The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Islamic Republic of Iran held a reception ceremony on the occasion of the glorious National Day.
Sayyid Yarub Qahtan Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Iran, delivered a speech in which he pointed out the significance of the National Day, which embodies the Sultanate of Oman's pride in its ancient history, extending since the founding of the Al Busaid State on 20 November 1744, when the Founding Imam Ahmad bin Said Al Busaidi united the nation's banner.
He emphasised the Omani diplomatic approach based on dialogue and respect for the UN Charter and international law, and the call to prioritize wisdom, contain escalation in the region, and adopt peaceful means for dispute settlement.
The ceremony was attended by Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, a number of Iranian officials, and heads of diplomatic missions.
The event included visual presentations that highlighted the most important tourism and economic components distinguishing the Sultanate of Oman in all its Wilayats and Governorates, as well as documentary presentations narrating its history and promoting tourism and investment in the Sultanate of Oman.
