Ministry of Labour honours companies and entities supporting labour market in North Al Batinah

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour, represented by the Directorate of Labour in the Governorate of North Al Batinah, organized an award ceremony honoring a number of companies, in addition to honoring Their Excellencies the Walis of North Al Batinah Governorate and several government entities, in appreciation of their role in supporting the labour market and strengthening partnership and integration among various sectors. The total number of companies honoured reached 32 companies.

The ceremony was held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in the Wilayat of Sohar, under the patronage of His Excellency Khalid Salem Al-Ghamari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Labour Affairs, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation between the public and private sectors, contribute to the provision of employment opportunities, and empower national competencies, thereby supporting the achievement of sustainable development within the governorate.

His Excellency the Undersecretary commended the prominent role played by the honored companies, government entities, and Their Excellencies the Walis in supporting employment initiatives and developing human resources, affirming that this recognition reflects the Ministry’s appreciation of its strategic partners and their pivotal role in advancing the labour market and promoting job stability.

In his speech on the occasion of the ceremony, Ahmed Salem Al-Hajri, Director General of the Directorate of Labour in North Al Batinah Governorate, stated that Omanisation is no longer merely a regulatory obligation or a professional requirement, but has become a strategic direction that embodies the national vision for building a knowledge-based economy and developing a work environment capable of absorbing the energies of youth and enhancing their skills. He added that the selection of the honored companies was based on clear and specific criteria, including their fulfillment of Omanisation ratios during the years 2024 and 2025, their level of compliance with the Omani Labour Law and its implementing regulations, as well as their effective role in the field of social responsibility and the qualitative initiatives they have undertaken, reflecting their commitment to society and sustainable development.

Al-Hajri further expressed his appreciation for the significant role and unwavering support provided by the Office of the Governor of North Al Batinah, the offices of Their Excellencies the Walis, and the various government entities, praising their cooperation and support for all programs and initiatives organized by the Directorate.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were presented to the honored companies, Their Excellencies the Walis, and the government entities, in recognition of their efforts and constructive cooperation, with an emphasis on the importance of continuing joint efforts to achieve the objectives of the labour market.
