ROP cracks down on crime with arrests in Seeb and Liwa

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested two individuals in separate theft cases in North Al Batinah Governorate and Muscat Governorate, authorities said.

 In the first incident, the North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested a suspect for stealing cash, bank cards and electronic devices from the residence of an expatriate in the Wilayat of Liwa. Legal procedures are currently being completed against the accused. 

 In a separate case, the General Department of Criminal Investigations and Inquiries arrested a suspect on charges of robbery with force in the Wilayat of Seeb. According to police, the accused entered a commercial shop, assaulted a shop worker and stole cash that was in the worker’s possession.
