Acting RNO Commander receives Commander of Indian Western Naval Command

Muscat: Commodore Jasim Mohammed Al Balushi, Acting Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), received today at Al Murtafa’a Camp Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Navy's Western Naval Command, and his accompanying military delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on several matters, particularly in the naval fields, and discussed various military topics of common interest.

Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan and the accompanying military delegation also visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC). Upon arrival at the centre's headquarters, he was received by Commodore Adel Hamoud Al Busaidi, Head of the Maritime Security Centre.

During the visit, the Commander of the Indian Western Naval Command was briefed on the roles and efforts of the Maritime Security Centre in maintaining the security and safety of the maritime environment and navigation within the maritime zones of the Sultanate of Oman. He was also briefed on the centre's facilities and the modern technologies and systems with which it is equipped.

Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), received in his office at Al Murtafa’a Camp today Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Navy's Western Naval Command, and his accompanying military delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and discussed several military topics of mutual interest.
