Khasab: The Musandam Governorate showcased its most significant development achievements realized during 2025, while also highlighting future plans and projects.
This took place during the annual media briefing for 2026, held under the patronage of Sayyid Faisal Hamoud Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam.
The event aimed to strengthen communication channels between the governorate and the community, and to update media professionals on development updates and ongoing projects. This initiative seeks to enhance the principle of transparency and solidify the media's role in supporting the development process.
The media briefing included a visual presentation depicting the development journey and the initiatives and projects accomplished in the recent period. This was followed by presentations on the achievements of various departments, covering performance indicators, implemented programs, and future directions.
The briefing also featured an open dialogue with the participation of Eng. Nasser Hamid Al Hosani, Director General of Musandam Municipality; Khalfan Harib Al Jabri, Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs; and Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehhi, Assistant Head of the Office of the Governor of Musandam.
The session provided an opportunity for media representatives and attendees to pose their inquiries and share observations, as well as to listen to suggestions and ideas for development, thereby strengthening the partnership with the media and the community and supporting the governorate's development march.
Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehhi, Assistant Head of the Office of the Governor of Musandam, stated that organizing this annual media briefing stems from the Musandam Governorate's commitment to building bridges of effective partnership with the media and the community. Through it, the governorate seeks to embody the principle of transparency by showcasing tangible achievements and presenting future plans and projects that meet the aspirations of the citizens.
He pointed out that the event came up with several recommendations. These recommendations emphasized the importance of solidifying the approach of community communication by organizing periodic gatherings that include representatives from various villages in the governorate to present achievements and listen to suggestions and developmental ideas. They also called for reviewing development plans and updating their priorities according to changes and citizen needs.
The recommendations stressed enhancing integration among government institutions through coordinating efforts, exchanging data, and unifying visions in project implementation. This is in addition to launching joint awareness and media initiatives to highlight completed and ongoing projects, raise community awareness, study the proposals presented during the media briefing, enhance transparency in communication with the community, and make data accessible to allow the public to offer their observations and suggestions.
