Oman continues emergency response efforts amid weather conditions

Muscat— The sectors of the National Emergency Management Committee continue their intensive efforts to address the impacts of the weather condition affecting the Sultanate of Oman, as part of ongoing measures to ensure public safety and maintain essential services.

The Basic Services Sector reported that multiple service disruptions across various governorates have been handled, with field teams successfully restoring electricity, telecommunications, water, and sanitation services in several affected areas. Work is ongoing to resolve remaining reports and fully restore services as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, the Relief and Shelter Sector stated that 257 individuals have been accommodated in 7 active shelters within the approved shelter system, which includes a total of 215 centers, of which 64 are fully equipped.

The committee emphasized continued coordination among relevant sectors to monitor weather developments, urging citizens and residents to adhere to official guidelines issued by authorities to safeguard public safety.
