Muscat: The Environment Authority (EA) has confirmed that the Sultanate of Oman is currently being affected by a moderate dust storm, leading to a significant rise in particulate matter concentrations. Based on real-time data from the official “Naqi”platform, air quality readings in several areas have dropped, with some levels classified as "unhealthy," particularly for those with respiratory conditions or allergies.
The Authority explained that the current weather system has caused a surge in dust-related pollutants, impacting visibility and atmospheric clarity.
Public cooperation in following safety measures is essential to reducing health risks associated with decreased air quality.
