Oman, Canada explore ways to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister received in Muscat today Scott Gilmore, Advisor to the Canadian Prime Minister for Foreign, Defense, and Security Policy.

During the meeting, both sides affirmed their shared interest in developing relations of cooperation and partnerships between the Sultanate of Oman and Canada across various economic and commercial fields, as well as in education, academic exchange, and diplomatic collaboration.

The two parties discussed a number of regional and international issues and developments, emphasizing the importance of intensifying consultation and joint action, as well as developing international and multilateral mechanisms to address new global challenges.

They also underscored the need to reinforce the principles of dialogue and diplomacy in support of stability, peaceful coexistence, fruitful cooperation, and sustaining balance in international relations.
