Muscat: Business Gateways International (BGI), a 15-year-old Omani IT organisation, successfully concluded its participation at the Oman Petroleum & Energy Show (OPES) 2026, held at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC) in Muscat. Over three days of strategic engagement, BGI showcased its vision for the future of Oman’s energy ecosystem, anchored in sustainable procurement, digital transformation, local content development, and strategic collaboration.
Operating from Hall 5, the BGI Pavilion welcomed industry leaders, policymakers, technology providers, SMEs, and international stakeholders for focused dialogue on the evolving needs of the energy sector and the Sultanate’s long-term sustainability ambitions.
A major highlight of BGI’s participation was the official launch of the blu2green (b2g) Framework, a nationally driven ecosystem developed to support organisations across the energy value chain in areas including ESG implementation, carbon management, sustainable procurement, reporting readiness, and transition planning. The framework is designed to help companies, especially SMEs, adopt practical and scalable sustainability strategies aligned with Oman Vision 2040 and the Sultanate’s Net-Zero objectives.
During the exhibition, BGI also signed a strategic Memorandum of Collaboration with Otech under the theme “Strategic Global Partnership for Implementation of National Digital Platforms and Infrastructure, Driving Innovation.”
The partnership combines BGI’s digital platforms with Otech’s ICT infrastructure capabilities to develop and deploy national digital ecosystems in Oman and overseas markets.
The exhibition also marked the unveiling of the ‘JSRS ‘26 Roadmap,’ which positions the Joint Supplier Registration System (JSRS) as a modern procurement-enablement platform that helps Omani companies access local-content opportunities across the energy sector supply chain. The roadmap is built around four strategic priorities: Green Procurement, Sourcing Hub, JSRS Sal’lah e-commerce engine and the JSRS Academy.
Commenting on the participation, Hemant Murkoth, [Director & CEO], BGI, said: “OPES 2026 provided an exceptional platform to bring together energy sector leaders, innovators, and policymakers to advance dialogue around sustainable energy development in Oman. Through the launch of blu2green (b2g), our strategic collaborations, and the continued evolution of JSRS as Oman energy sector’s flagship procurement and business ecosystem, we are reinforcing our commitment to practical sustainability solutions, digital transformation, ESG enablement, and stronger SME participation aligned with Oman’s Net-Zero ambitions.”
Over the course of the exhibition, BGI hosted 11 specialised speaker sessions at “The Stage,” bringing together experts from sustainability, finance, supply chain, technology, and energy. The sessions explored ESG implementation and reporting, sustainable investment strategies, circular economy solutions, AI integration within strategic platforms, digital procurement ecosystems, local content development, and SME empowerment within Oman’s energy supply chain.
Representatives from Petroleum Development Oman, Daleel Petroleum LLC, Oman Energy Association, SMEDA, Crowe Oman, Muscat Stock Exchange, and other regional and international entities participated in the knowledge-sharing sessions hosted by BGI. The pavilion attracted strong engagement from stakeholders across the energy ecosystem, hosting strategic meetings, partnership discussions, and collaborative dialogue on sustainability, supplier development, and digital transformation in the Sultanate.
BGI reaffirmed its commitment to working with Oman public and private sector stakeholders to accelerate digital transformation, strengthen local enterprise participation in sustainability, and contribute to a resilient, innovation-driven energy economy for Oman.
