New Indian Ambassador Prashant Pise takes charge

Muscat: Ambassador Prashant Pise paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at the Embassy of India in Muscat after formally assuming charge as India's Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, according to the Embassy of India.

The Embassy in a Tweet on X (formerly Twitter) said Ambassador Pise honoured the Father of the Nation by offering floral tributes at Gandhi's bust on the embassy premises, marking the beginning of his diplomatic assignment in Oman.

"Remembering Mahatma Gandhi remains a timeless symbol of truth, non-violence and moral courage," the Embassy noted.
