MUSCAT: Oman Air has announced that a number of its flights are experiencing delays due to exceptional operational circumstances and temporary restrictions on some air routes, which have affected aircraft movements across its network.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the national carrier said its operational teams are working around the clock to minimise disruptions, maintain the continuity of services, and restore flight schedules to normal as quickly as possible.
The airline said passengers affected by the delays will be notified through WhatsApp, email or SMS, provided their booking includes accurate contact details.
To reduce inconvenience, Oman Air said some passengers may also be rebooked on flights operated by other airlines whenever suitable alternatives are available.
The airline advised travellers to verify that their contact information is up to date and to check the status of their flights on the Oman Air website before leaving for the airport.
The disruption comes amid temporary restrictions on certain air routes, which have impacted aircraft movements and led to delays on some services within the airline's network.
Oman Air apologised for the inconvenience caused and reiterated its commitment to restoring normal operations at the earliest opportunity.
