Khasab: The Governorate of Musandam recently launched its digital spatial portal, both in Arabic and English.
The digital special portal, launched on the Governorate's website, reflects efforts to enhance digital transition and use modern technologies to develop its services. It provides an interactive platform designed to enable users to easily access geographical and spatial information and data related to the Governorate.
The Director of the Department of Information Technology at the Directorate General of Administrative and Financial Affairs in Musandam Governorate, Amna Mohammed Al Shuhhi, said that the portal offers accurate and up-to-date information within a user-friendly, interactive digital environment.
She added that the portal features a range of digital services and tools, including interactive maps and advanced search components that can be used in planning and decision-making. The portal also contributes to linking geographical data within an integrated digital environment that supports the work of government units and enhances the efficiency of urban planning and infrastructure development, she explained.
The new portal constitutes a cornerstone for future projects and initiatives that use technologies of smart cities and emerging technologies like the Internet of Things (ioT), artificial intelligence (AI) and digital twins, said Amna Al Shuhhi. This consolidates integration among different systems and services and supports the development of a smarter and more sustainable future for the Governorate, she observed.
