Oman's real estate market value hits OMR 1.71 billion in July

Muscat: The value of real estate transactions in the Sultanate of Oman recorded a 7.7 percent increase in July 2026, reaching OMR 1.7157 billion , compared to OMR 1.593 billion during the same period in 2025.

According to data issued by the National Media Center, the value of real estate transactions rose by 15.7 percent to OMR 843.2 million , compared to OMR 728.5 million during the same period in 2025. The number of sales contracts also increased by 3.9 percent, reaching 39,719 contracts, compared to 38,226 contracts.

 The value of mortgage contracts also recorded an increase of 0.7 percent , reaching OMR 864.4 million, compared to OMR 858.4 million during the same period in 2025. The number of mortgage contracts rose by 22.3 percent, reaching 15,441 contracts, compared to 12,621 contracts.

The value of swap contracts continued its upward trend, increasing by OMR 33.6 million to reach OMR 8.2 million by July 2026, compared to OMR 6.1 million during the same period in 2025. Meanwhile, the number of swap contracts increased by approximately 41.6 percent, reaching 411 contracts, compared to 704 contracts.

 Regarding real estate ownership, the number of issued properties increased by 10.7 percent , reaching 119,832 by the end of July 2026, compared to 134,206 properties during the same period in 2025. The number of units issued to citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries also increased by 11.2 percent , reaching 643 properties, compared to 724.
