Muscat: Omani young rally champion Abdullah AlRawahi enters the fifth round of the Jordan National Rally, taking place at the Dead Sea on Friday, in high spirits after finishing the previous round in first place alongside his Jordanian co-driver Atta AlHamoud in a Škoda Fabia R5. Al-Rawahi is working to become increasingly used to the car through such competitions.
Abdullah Al-Rawahi had been unable to participate in the 2026 Lebanon International Rally due to security concerns in the region, and chose to compete in the Jordan National Rally instead to gain more experience with the new car, ensuring it is technically tailored to the driver’s needs, as well as achieving the necessary dynamics and balance for upcoming rallies. This will help secure strong and impressive results in future races and compensation for his absence from the Lebanon International Rally.
Speaking about his participation in the Jordan National Rally, Al-Rawahi emphasized that such events are important for him to get behind the wheel from time to time so he can identify the car’s strengths and make the necessary adjustments after each race—especially since the car is new, has not competed in many races this year, and requires continuous development and proper setup for each race. He also hopes to win the title in this round as well, just as he did in the previous one.
