Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s state visit to the Republic of Angola marks a strategic milestone in advancing Omani-Angolan relations toward expanded economic, investment, and logistical cooperation.
Building on the momentum of President João Manuel Lourenço’s December 2024 visit to Muscat and the establishment of the Oman African Bank in Luanda in April 2026, the bilateral agenda centers on high-value partnerships across the energy, mining, and maritime transport sectors.
Key areas of collaboration include Omani investments in Angola's Catoca and Luele diamond mines, trade integration along the Lobito Corridor connecting Angolan ports with Duqm, Sohar, and Salalah, as well as broader cultural exchange and cross-regional market access.
