Preliminary list of Candidates for Municipal Council elections announced

Muscat: The  Ministry of Interior announced today the preliminary lists of candidates for the fourth term Municipal Council elections, totalling 803 male and female candidates, including 16 women, via the "Intikhab" application and the elections website (elections.om).

The Ministry indicated that objections may be filed against the names included in the preliminary lists of candidates through a request submitted via the "Intikhab" application or the elections website (elections.om) within five days from the date of the announcement of the lists, stating the grounds for objection and attaching supporting documents. The request shall be adjudicated within ten days from the day following the expiry of the submission period.
