Nine people arrested for possessing marijuana in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested nine Asian nationals for possessing marijuana with the intent to smuggle and traffic it in Musandam Governorate.

ROP said in a statement: “Nine Asian nationals were apprehended in the Wilayat of Bukha for possessing marijuana with the intent to smuggle and traffic it. The arrests were carried out by the Directorate for Combatting Drugs and Psychotropic Substances at the Musandam Governorate Police Command.

Legal procedures are being completed against them.”
