Institutional performance forum 'Tamkeen' begins in South Al Batinah

A’Rustaq: The Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs in South Al Batinah Governorate today began a 3-day forum codenamed "Tamkeen" (Empowerment). The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Ahmed bin Saleh Al Rashdi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.

The forum, which is attended by 300 employees, aims to enhance professional knowledge and hone practical skills in areas like institutional governance and sustainability. It also seeks to align training outcomes with workplace requirements in a manner that contributes to performance efficiency, improved service quality and sustainable institutional impact, in line with the goals of the "Year of Proficiency" (2026), which is designated by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.

Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Siyabi, Director of the Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs in South Al Batinah, gave a speech in which he outlined the forum's objectives and key themes.

The opening programme included the screening of a video titled "When Empowerment Begins", a visual display titled "From Plan to Impact: Towards an Integrated Strategic System" and a panel discussion titled "From Empowerment to Sustainable Institutional Impact". The panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Bakhit Al Shibli, a consultant in institutional performance development.

The first day of the forum also included four working papers. The first working paper was presented by Basma Al Bassami, Director of Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Office at the Ministry. The paper dealt with "Institutional Empowerment and Enhancing Performance Efficiency".

The second working paper was presented by Sami Al Jahdhami, Head of the Remote Training Section at the Ministry. It focused on "Institutional Empowerment in the Training and Qualification Sector."

The third working paper was presented by Dr. Hazza Al-Bakari, Head of the Governance Section at the Ministry’s Governance and Institutional Performance Department. The paper elaborated on factors of "Institutional Governance: From Framework Building to Creating Sustainable Impact".

The fourth working paper was presented by Laila Al Harthi, Senior Manager of Culture and Change Management at Omantel. It outlined the company’s experience in the field of establishing a work environment that enhances the quality of work life to sustainable performance.

The programme concluded with an open discussion that explored ways to improve institutional practices and boost the efficiency of performance in the workplace.
