Muscat: The Foreign Ministry has informed Omani citizens that the Republic of the Philippines implemented an electronic visa (e-Visa) system, effective October 5, 2026. Travellers can apply online via the official portal at evisa.gov.ph.
Under the new system, holders of a valid e-Visa can present their authorization upon arrival in either digital or printed form. An e-Visa sticker will not be physically affixed to the passport.
The Ministry outlined key regulations for Omani travellers using the new system:
• Compatibility: The e-Visa is valid alongside the machine-readable visa (MRV) sticker for Category 9(a) temporary visitor visas and other applicable visa classes.
• Restrictions: The e-Visa cannot be converted to other Philippine visa types, and the granted duration of stay is non-extendable.
• Entry Requirements: Citizens traveling to the Philippines must ensure their passport is valid for at least six months beyond their entry date and hold comprehensive health insurance for the full duration of their stay.
