New York: On the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly being held in New York, Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi today held meetings with some of his counterparts from Arab and friendly countries.
The minister conferred, separately, with Muhyiddin Salim Ahmed, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Sudan, Georgi Georgiev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, and Murat Nurtleu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meetings dealt with relations of friendship and cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the aforementioned countries. They touched on means of developing relations in economic, scientific and cultural fields.
The ministers also exchanged views about regional and international issues and stressed the need to continue consultation and coordination in a manner that supports security, stability and sustainable development.
