
MUSCAT: Four Asian nationals have been arrested for allegedly attempting to rob a gold shop in Mutrah after breaking through a wall to gain access to the premises, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said.
According to the ROP, the suspects were apprehended following investigative operations carried out by the Muscat Governorate Police Command in cooperation with the North Al Batinah and Dhofar Police Commands.
Police said the four individuals are accused of sabotaging the shop and attempting to steal gold jewellery after demolishing a wall to enter the premises.
The ROP confirmed that legal procedures against the suspects are currently being completed.
The police reiterated their commitment to combating crime and safeguarding people and property through coordinated security operations across the Sultanate.
