Oman closely monitoring Red Sea developments; calls for de-escalation

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman is closely monitoring with profound concern the latest developments concerning the situation in the Red Sea region. 

Foreign Ministry said, "The Sultanate of Oman is closely following the recent developments related to the situation in the Red Sea region, emphasising the necessity of avoiding escalation and mitigating threats that could exacerbate the situation and endanger freedom of navigation.

To ensure long-term regional security, the Sultanate of Oman is currently working in coordination with its brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Yemeni parties, and the UN Special Envoy to Yemen. These joint efforts aim to resume the political track and the established roadmap to achieve lasting peace and stability across the region."
